Bruins Finish 2nd at Clarksville Slamfest

Brentwood High went 3-1 in Saturday's Clarksville Slamfest to finish as Runners-up to Ooltewah in the finals. The Bruins started the day by defeating Kenwood 53-24, and Dickson County 66-13 in pool matches. Then they defeated host Clarksville High in the semifinals 33-25. In the finals Brentwood came up a little short against Ooltewah 32-34. However, 171 pounder Tate Mustin pulled off the upset of the day by defeating defending state champion Jake Young from Ooltewah 6-5. Going undefeated on the day for the Bruins were Josh Overmyer, Phillip Antypas, Jack Whitehead, Tate Mustin, Cameron Croy, and Matt Bridges.
